Screen Not Powering On – What to Check

⚡ Screen Not Powering On – What to Check

We understand how important it is to have your screen up and running.
If your screen is not powering on, follow these steps before contacting support:

Step 1: Check the Power Source

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the screen and the power outlet.

  • Test the outlet by plugging in another device (such as a phone charger or lamp) to confirm it is working.

  • If you are using an extension lead, try plugging the screen directly into a wall socket.

Step 2: Inspect the Power Cable and Adapter

  • Check for any visible damage to the power cable or adapter.

  • If available, test with a different compatible power cable to rule out cable faults.

Step 3: Confirm Power Button Status

  • Make sure the power button on the screen (usually located on the side or bottom bezel) is pressed.

  • Some commercial displays have a main switch at the back or underneath the unit that needs to be turned on.

Step 4: Check for Indicator Lights

  • Look for any standby lights (red or white LEDs).

  • If a standby light is on but the screen is blank, try pressing the power button again or using the remote control.

Step 5: Test a Different Power Source

  • Move the screen to a different socket/location and retry.

  • Sometimes local electrical issues can prevent correct power delivery.

Step 6: Remove Connected Devices

  • Disconnect all HDMI, USB, DisplayPort, or other external cables.

  • A faulty cable or external device can sometimes cause the screen to fail to power up properly.

Important Information

  • Never attempt to open the device casing; doing so may void your warranty.

  • Always use the manufacturer-approved power cables and adapters.
